Afrika Log 5 – Shark Diving Heaven + R\u00fcckblick<\/b><\/h4>\n

Liebe Leute, die letzte Episode des Afrika Logs ist da, mit ein paar Wochen Versp\u00e4tung. Ich bin bereits seit Mitte Januar wieder in Deutschland, wie man sich vorstellen kann, nach neun Wochen ohne zweiten Computerbildschirm und zuverl\u00e4ssige Internetverbindung, war das jetzt erstmal viel aufzuholen. Jetzt komme ich aber dazu euch \u00fcber die letzte und sehr spektakul\u00e4re Station meines Trips zu informieren und ein kleines Fazit zu ziehen.<\/h6>\n<\/div>\n

Meine Zeit mit der Marine Megafauna Foundation<\/a> in Tofo und auch in Zavora war sehr lehrreich und hat mir einen sehr guten \u00dcberblick verschafft, wie und woran die Forscher:innen derzeit arbeiten, welche Bildungsprojekte im Vordergrunds stehen und wo man mit unserem Projekt am ehesten anpacken sollte. Nachdem ich mein \u201cTauch-Zuhause\u201d Liquid Dive in Tofo<\/a> schweren Herzens verlassen hatte, stand noch ein letzter Stop in Mosambik an, Ponta do Ouro.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ponta ist ein kleines St\u00e4dtchen ganz im S\u00fcden des Landes an der Grenze zu S\u00fcdafrika, sehr einfach und bequem von der Hauptstadt zu erreichen und ein absoluter Insider Tipp f\u00fcr Hai-Fanatiker<\/strong>. So gut wie kein Reiseanbieter hat Ponta im Angebot und das wundert mich wirklich sehr\u2026 Es war absolut Mind-Blowing!<\/span><\/p>\n

T\u00e4gliche Bullsharks<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Gerade in den Monaten Dezember bis M\u00e4rz ist es eine absolute Hai-Garantie Location<\/strong>, die Divesite \u201cPinnacles\u201d haben wir jeden Tag morgens angefahren und hatten – Achtung – bei JEDEM Tauchgang Bullenhaie und Tigerhaie<\/strong>. Bei fast jedem noch Hammerhaie<\/strong> obendrauf, gro\u00dfe Barracuda Schulen, gro\u00dfe Gruppen Mobula Rochen, neugierige Potato Grouper und das alles bei 26 Grad Wassertemperatur und bis zu 50 Metern Sicht. Es klingt genauso unglaublich, wie es war – seltsam und sch\u00f6n zugleich, dass hier noch fast keiner zum Tauchen hinreist!<\/span><\/p>\n

Getaucht bin ich mit dem von Freunden empfohlenen Center \u201cBack2Basics Adventures<\/strong><\/a>\u201d. Das Schwedisch-S\u00fcdafrikanisch gef\u00fchrte Family Business ist absolut empfehlenswert, es gibt neben den P\u00e4rchen, das den Shop besitzt, nur einen weiteren local Instructor und zwei Crew-Mitglieder. Kleine Gruppen, Wohlf\u00fchlatmosph\u00e4re und – was ich nach meiner Zeit dort beurteilen kann – unglaublich viel Leidenschaft und Wissen rund um die Unterwasserwelt im S\u00fcden Mosambiks. Die Jungs und M\u00e4dels dort wissen genau, was sie tun, das Tauchen mit ihnen ist ein gro\u00dfes Erlebnis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nach \u00fcber zwei Monaten, dutzenden Stunden unter Wasser, vielen neuen interessanten Begegnungen und lehrreichen Einblicken ging es also wieder zur\u00fcck nach Deutschland. Schon jetzt, ein paar Wochen nach der Reise sind die ersten Projekte angesto\u00dfen, ihr d\u00fcrft gespannt sein. Als kleine Teaser kann ich die Schlagworte Praktika und Kleiderspenden nennen, mehr dazu hoffentlich sehr bald.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es bleibt noch Danke zu sagen<\/strong> an die vielen netten Menschen und gro\u00dfartigen Supporter meiner Reise. Ohne die Dive Center Liquid Dive<\/a> und Peri Peri<\/a> in Tofo bzw. Morrungulo und deren Ortskenntnis, h\u00e4tte ich nur einen Bruchteil erlebt. Danke an Nakia vom MAR Expeditions<\/a> und Manny von Zavora Scuba f\u00fcr die unvergessliche Zeit im abgelegenen Zavora! Danke an Suunto<\/strong>, die mich durch ihre Tauchcomputer sicher und ohne Bedenken die Tiefen erkunden lassen und ans Scubapro<\/strong>, die mir mit dem Hydros Pro einen sensationellen und sehr komfortablen BCD zu Verf\u00fcgung gestellt haben.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zuletzt ein gro\u00dfes Dankesch\u00f6n an euch, liebe Community<\/strong>, die zahlreich die Afrika Logs gelesen haben und die ganze Reise mit so gro\u00dfem Interesse verfolgt haben.
